Abstract

Pest of public health importance is one of the main causes of diseases and remaining as a major public health issue in developing as well as resource-poor countries. Pest like mosquitoes, housefly is closely associated with mankind since time immemorial and play an important role in the transmission of many dreadful diseases like malaria, filariasis, japanese encephalitis, dengue and yellow fever. From long ago, vector control is an important element to minimize the vector-borne disease burden worldwide. Ecofriendly management is very necessary because due to overuse and misuse of insecticides have led to the emergence of resistance. Pest of public health importance which causes diseases is responsible for 17% of the global burden of parasitic and infectious diseases. Therefore the present communication is focused on the some important pest which is detrimental to human health their daily life standard and their friendly management.
