Abstract

Investigations on the effect of different organic modules which comprises of organic amendments and indigenous products spray against brinjal shoot and fruit borer, Leucinodes orbonalis Guen. was carried out during kharif season of 2012–13. The study revealed that the module M4 which comprises of soil application of Neem cake 0.5 t/ha + 50% recommended dose of fertilizers and first foliar spray of 5% Neem seed extract at 30 days after transplanting followed by second spray of 3% Vermiwash at 45 days after transplanting followed by third spray of 3% Garlic Chilli extract at 60 days after transplanting followed by fourthspray of 20% Fermented botanical spray at 75 days after transplanting was more effective in reducing the shoot infestation (13.89%) and fruit infestation (16.74%) and recorded highest marketable fruit yield (119.95 q/ha).
