Constraints Faced by Hybrid Rice Growers in Cultivation of Hybrid Rice

The Present investigation was undertaken conducted in South Gujarat region of Gujarat state, with which is operational area of Navsari Agricultural University. To identify the various constraints faced by hybrid rice growers incultivation of hybrid rice. A random sample of 100 hybrid rice growers was selected from five Districts and the constraints faced by hybrid rice growers in cultivation of hybrid rice were studied. The result of the study depicted that lack of technical guanidine was perceived as their main constraint by farmers in hybrid rice grower, Followed by lack of improved variety,, high cost of seed, manure and fertilizers and inadequate irrigation facility were perceived as the most serious constraints faced by hybrid rice growers.
