Abstract

In our country, rivers have always remained the site of most evolutionary history and human activity. Rivers are the symbol of spirituality, life line of Indiaand are worshiped like God. But today they are gradually being polluted due to wastes, garbage etc. drained directly or indirectly in to the rivers. Life and water have a sweet inseparable relation. Among the limited water resources, the rivers are most dynamic and variable in their physico-chemical and biological composition due to regular and unidirectional flowof water. To observe degradation and deterioration in the river quality, different physico-chemical parameters were monitored seasonally at different places of river Sai at Raebareli region
