Abstract

An experiment was conducted during 2013–14 at Farmer's field Maggalamakki, Mudigere taluk, Chikmagalur district. To evaluate the effect of soil application and foliar spray of zinc and boron on quality of ratoon banana cv. Grand Naine under hill zone of Karnataka. The maximum pulp weight (147.17g), peel weight (42.92g), pulp to peel ratio (3.42), TSS (28.500Brix), reducing sugar (15.97%), non reducing sugar (2.93%), total sugars (18.97), Titrable acidity (0.29%) and Sugar to acid ratio (65.41) were recorded in the treatment supplied with 100% recommended dose of fertilizer (100:108:200g NPK/plant) with combination of foliar spray of ZnSO4 (0.5%) + boron (0.2%) with double suckers per hill whereas minimum was recorded in control.
