Pea (Pisum sativum L.) is an important multipurpose rabi crop. Root rot caused by Fusarium solani f.sp. pisi, was found to be an important problem of this crop on farmer's field atJobner and nearby areas. Fungus (Fusarium solani f.sp. pisi) was isolated from diseased roots of naturally infected pea plants. The fungus isolated was found to be highly pathogenic causing root rotting of seedlings and later growth stages of the pea plant. Infection in begining was typically inthe form of yellowing of lower leaves. Roots of diseased plants showed brownish to blackish lesions. Internal brown discolouration of root tissues was also observed. Root rot disease incidence was observed from (18.22% to 32.43%) in the Jobner and nearby areas surveyed. It caused significant losses to the crop in terms of number of pods per plant from (29.20% to 36.19%) and in terms of pods weight from (22.0% to 31.25%).
