Assessment of Information Management Pattern among Extension Personnel

The research work was carried out in Coimbatore, Erode and Tirupur districts of Tamil Nadu. The districts were purposively selected for the study in view of the extension personnel having good experience managing in utilizing the information and communication technology tools and 154 were respondents. Mailed questionnaire are used as data collection tool. One hundredand twenty one extension personnel were responded. The data were analyzed using information management index. The salient findings of the study revealed that majority of the extension personnel had medium level Information Management Index (IMI) value. This reflected the imbalanced development of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and the need to take effective steps to improve the information management by focusing on particular areas.
