The present study was made to find the cooking efficiency of scheffler cooker. Water boiling tests were conducted in scheffler cooker and the performance of the cooker was monitored from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm for three days. Factors affecting cooking efficiency like solar intensity, ambient temperature, relative humidity, wind velocity, absorber temperature, vessel temperature and water temperature were studied by using sun meter, digital Temperature, RH meter and thermocouple respectively. From the three days experiments, it was observed that the maximum cooking efficiency of 26 per cent was obtained at the second day due to high solar radiation.
