Abstract

An experiment was conducted in two consequent years Viz., 2011 and 2012 to study the effect nutrient management systems on growth, yield and quality attributes of cucumber (var Beit Alpha) cultivated under Polyhouse condition. The results revealed that the application of 125% RDF applied through water soluble fertilizer and foliar application of Micro nutrients significantly influenced Yield attributes Viz., Fruit Length (cms), Fruit Diameter (cms) and Number of fruitsper Vine of cucumber cultivated in Polyhouse condition. The maximum Fruit Length (16.8 and 18.2 cms), Fruit diameter (4.6 and 5.3 cms) and Number of Fruits (39.1 and 37.2) were recorded in the treatment G3 M4 (125% RDF through Water Soluble fertigation+ Foliar application of Micronutrient) during the years 2011 and 2012 respectively. The lowest values for the above parameters were recorded in Control (6.2 and 8.2 cms for Fruit Length, 2.5 and 2.7 cms for Fruit Diameter and 5.9 and 8.0 for Number of fruits per vineduring the years 2011 and 2012 respectively.
