Abstract

This study was evaluated the influence of post bloom spray of chemical substances on fruit characters of pomegranate cv. Bahgwa. Trees were sprayed with five chemicals, viz., CaCl2, Ca(NO3)2, KH2PO4, KNO3 at 1 and 2 per centand GA3 30 ppm, 40 ppm, Water spray and Control (No spray) were sprayed three times starting at full bloom and subsequently at 45 and 90 days after fruit set. There were twelve treatments replicated thrice in a Randomized block design. The results of the experiment revealed that among the spraying treatments KNO3 (2 per cent) recorded highest fruit weight, number of fruits per tree, fruit yield per tree.
