Effect of Foliar Application of Some Chemical Substances on Fruit Characters of Pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) cv. Bahgwa

This study was evaluated the influence of post bloom spray of chemical substances on fruit characters of pomegranate cv. Bahgwa. Trees were sprayed with five chemicals, viz., CaCl₂, Ca(NO₃)₂, KH₂PO₄, KNO₃ at 1 and 2 per centand GA₃ 30 ppm, 40 ppm, Water spray and Control (No spray) were sprayed three times starting at full bloom and subsequently at 45 and 90 days after fruit set. There were twelve treatments replicated thrice in a Randomized block design. The results of the experiment revealed that among the spraying treatments KNO₃ (2 per cent) recorded highest fruit weight, number of fruits per tree, fruit yield per tree.
