The global trend towards urbanization means that over half of the world's population now lives in cities. Sustainable energy utilization and environmental protection are important to sustainable economic growth. Environmental quality has become increasingly influenced by the built environment and buildings, which plays an important role in energy consumption and CO2 emissions through phases of life cycle Cities cover approximately 2 percent of global land area, but account for more than 70 percent of the world's GHG emissions. Much of the emphasis to date in green building development has been on optimizing energy and resource efficiency. Very little was known about user perception and satisfaction in green buildings compare to conventional buildings. To make up these drawbacks, this paper presents overall scenario of occupant health with how to take advantage of people's for giveness by providing personal control and design comfortable and satisfactory buildings less dependent on fossil fuels should be further enquired in sustainable design and research.
