Abstract

Significant variationin all the six yield and yield attributing traits were obtained. High variation was observed in grain yield and least variation was recorded in plant height. Among the 122 lines, line no. 12 exhibited highest grain yield under TSD condition. In correlation studies, grain yield exhibited significant and positive association with biological yield and harvest index. However, negative and significant association was recorded between grain yield and days to 50% flowering. In QTL analysis, 29 SSR and HvSSR primers exhibited polymorphism out of 68 primers on chromosome # 3. For plant height, two QTLs were identified, the LOD value ranging from 2.69 to 8.9. Days to 50% flowering had the single QTL with the LOD value of 4.83. Fine BAC clones were identified on chromosome #3.290 New SSR markers were found between the flanking region RM5474 and HvSSR3-35 and 116 new SSRs between the flanking region RM422 and RM85. About 660 candidate genes with their annotation between the flanking markers RM5474 and HvSSR3-35 and 236 between the flanking markers RM422 and RM85 has also being found.
