Ideal Sowing Dates for Summer Cyamopsis tetragonoloba L. [Cluster Bean] in South Gujarat

A field experiment was carried outat College farm, Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari to study the response of vegetable Cyamopsis tetragonoloba L. under different sowing time in summer season. The main objective behind this experiment was to seek an ideal dates of sowing for vegetable Cyamopsis tetragonoloba L. The results of the experiment revealed that crop sown on 25^th February or 10^th March performed equally good and showed superiority over early sowing on 25^th January and 10^th February in all the recorded growthandyield parameters. The maximum green pod yield (50.91 q ha⁻¹) was obtained from 25^th February sown vegetable Cyamopsis tetragonoloba L.
