Roving method of survey was conducted during kharif: 2013–14 for incidence and severity of anthracnose due to C. truncatum in the major green gram regions of Bidar, Gulbarga and Bijapur districts. It was revealed that the disease was severe in the entire surveyed districts during kharif season: 2013 and disease severity ranged from 28.1–62.7 per cent. Among the green gram growing districts of Northern Karnataka, the highest disease severity was recorded in Bidar district (59.8%) followed by Gulbarga (53.8%), while the least severity was observed in Bijapur (38.4%) district.
