Abstract

Azadirachata indica (neem) is an indigenous tree; it is a safe natural insect-pest controller. In the current study the efficacy of neem leaves, neem bark, and neem green seed coat were tested against Aulacophora foveicollis Lucas adults at different concentrations. The concentrations used were 0.25%, 0.50%, 1%, and 1.5% respectively. The adult insects were fed upon leaves of Luffa gourd soaked in respective concentration of the neem extracts. Observations were taken after 48 hours which clearly indicated that the highest mortality (90.00%) was at 1.5% concentration of neem leaves where as the least mortality (31.67%) was recorded for neem bark extract.
