Among solid media tested, Potato dextrose agar and Richard's agar media were found the best for growth (89.33 and 83.33, respectively) and sclerotial production (371.67 and 278.00, respectively) of S. rolfsii. Studies on different temperatures revealed that the fungus produced maximum growth and sclerotial production at temperature 30°C (89.00 and 355.00, respectively) followed by 25°C (81.33 and 248.33, respectively). The minimum growth and sclerotial production were recorded at 40°C temperature.
