Abstract

The data pertaining to peak yield and days to attain peak yield were used for estimation of peak yield and days to attain peak yield as affected by non-genetic factors of 996 lactations of Phule Triveni synthetic cows, maintained at Research Cum Development Project on Cattle, Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri for the period from 1991 to 2008. The overall least squares means for peak yield and days to attain peak yield were 12.94 ± 0.31 kg and 41.07 ± 0.65 days, respectively. The effects of period of calving and parities on peak yield were significant. The effect of period of calving on days to attain peak yield was significant. The correlation of peak yield with days to attain peak yield were negative and non-significant.
