The study was carried out in Uttar Kannada district of Karnataka state through fixed plot survey. Seasonal incidence of natural enemies in honey bee colonies was studied from July 2012 to June 2013. Studies were carried out at five locations selected based on geography of the area. The locations were coastal region-Hodike (Honnavar taluk), hilly region-Badal (Kumta taluk), malnad region-Nanikatta (Sirsi taluk), plains-Malagi (Mundgod taluk) from Uttar Kannada district. Incidence of thai sac brood virus was never observed throughout the study period of one year. Four pests namely Vespa cincta, Galleria mellonella, Oecophylla smaragdina and Camponotus compressus were recorded from four locations (coastal region-Hodike (Honnavar taluk), hilly region-Badal (Kumta Taluk), malnad region-Nanikatta (Sirsi taluk) and plains-Malagi (Mundgod taluk) throughout the study period with a honey yield of 33..65, 36.35, 38.95 and 30.42 kg per five colonies per year under study, respectively.
