Abstract

A field experiment was conducted during summer season 2012 at Agronomy Farm, B.A. College of Agriculture, Anand Agricultural University, Anand, to study the effect of conjunctive use of phosphorus and bio-organics on growth and yield of summer groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) under middle Gujarat conditions. Result revealed that application of phosphorus @50 kg P2O5 ha−1 recorded significantly higher plant height, dry matter accumulation plant−1, dry Rhizobium nodule weight plant−1, number of mature and immature pods plant−1, shelling percentage, seed index, pod and haulm yield of groundnut over control. Similarly, in bio organics vermicompost @ 2t ha−1 showed significantly higher plant height, dry Rhizobium nodule weight, number of mature and immature pods plant−1, shelling percentage, seed index, pod and haulm yield.
