Abstract

Efficacy of eight insecticides namely, Triazophos, lambda cyhalothrin, Profenophos, Indoxacarb, Thiamethoxam, Dimethoate, Emamectin benzoate and Cypermethrin were tested against major insect pests of soybean. Emamectin benzoate was found most effective against green semilooper followed by indoxacarb. Thiamathoxam was found most effective against white fly followed by indoxacarb and emamectin benzoate. Triazophos was found most effective against girdle beetle followed by indoxacarb and emamectin benzoate. Triazophos was found most economical against major insect pests of soybean followed by indoxacarb and emamectin benzoate.
