Abstract

Nine varieties of vegetable cowpea (Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp.) were evaluated for correlation study. Pod yield perplant was found significantly and positively correlated with Plant height, number of primary branches, number of leaves, crop duration, pod length, pod girth, mean pod weight, pods per plant, seeds per pod and test weight and negatively correlated with days to first picking at both phenotypic and genotypic level.
