Abstract

Diaphania pulverulentalis H. Nuclear Polyhedrosis Virus (DpNPV), a baculovirus causing the adverse effect to leaf webber larvae. Experiments conducted to study the effect of various adjuvants to formulate the DpNPV suspension (alone and in combination). A combination of three adjuvants, viz., Starch (5%) + Congored (1%) + Tween 80 (1%) + DpNPV (6x109 POB/ml). Biochemical profiling in the polyhedra of the Diaphania pulverulentalis H. through FT-IR analysis bands corresponding to vibration modes of DpNPV formulation indicating the presence of viral particles with adjuvants related compounds and their functional groups.
