Abstract

A field experiment was conducted during rabi season of 2009–10 at the College Farm, Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari. The results revealed significant values of all the growth and yield attributing characters in castor ultimately resulting in the highest seed (2599.76 kg ha−1) and stalk (3430.90 kg ha−1) yields under weed free condition which was at par with pre-emergence application of Pendimethalin @1.0 kg a.i./ha followed by either 1 interculturing and hand weeding at 30 DAS or Post-emergence application of fenoxaprop-p-ethyl @ 50 g a.i./ha at 25 DAS.
