Abstract

In vivo studies were conducted to know the effect of plant extracts and fungicides against Alternaria porri causing purple blotch of onion. Among plant extracts tested, nimbicidine and neem seed kernel extract have managed disease at all the three concentrations. Among fungicides, difenconazole at 0.1 per cent has given lesser per cent disease index (29.49) with higher yield (3.34 t/ha) and benefit cost ratio (1.52:1)
