Abstract

A study was carried out to know the reaction of fifteen hirsutum cotton genotypes against Cotton Aphid, Aphis gossypii Glover. Perusal of the data indicated that among the fifteen genotypes, ten genotypes K-3, K-2, KH-120, KH-121, KH-122, KH-113, JKHy-1, JK-4, KH-111 and KH-119 were categorized as tolerant while five genotypes KH-117, KH-134, KH-143, KH138 and KH-132 as susceptible. No genotype was found resistant to aphids’ infestation. Hirsutum cotton genotype K-3 recorded minimum aphids population and gave maximum seed cotton yield, followed by KH-121 and K-2.
