Abstract

Field experiment was conducted at field No. 68 of Eastern Block, Department of Sericulture, Agricultural College and Research Institute, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, during 2011–2012 to evaluate the impact of soil application of macro and micronutrients to mulberry nutrient uptake and leaf quality. The experiments were laid out in randomized block design with three replications. Different individual and combined soil application of 25 kg ZnSO4 ha−1, 50 kg FeSO4 ha−1, 25 kg MnSO4 ha−1and 10 kg Borax ha−1 along with recommended dose of N, P2O5 and K2O were applied to mulberry. Leaf macro and micro nutrient status were anlaysed at the time feeding to silkworm. Combined soil application 25 kg ZnSO4 ha−1+ 50 kg FeSO4 ha−1 + 25 kg MnSO4 ha−1 + 10 kg Borax ha−1 along with 300: 120: 120 kg N, P2O5, K2O ha−1 year−1 increased the macro and micronutrients uptake and leaf Chlorophyll content.
