Several isolates of fungal and bacterial antagonists were isolated from the rhizosphere of jasmine grown in different areas of Tamil Nadu were. These antagonists microflora were evaluated against the jasmine wilt pathogen, F. solani under laboratory and green house conditions. The fungal antagonist Trichoderma viride (Tv12) and bacterial antagonists Psedomonas fluorescens (Pf 12) and Bacillus subtilis (Bs15) significantly inhibited the mycelial growth of Fusarium solani under in-vitro. Wilt incidence was considerably reduced in response to soil application @ 2g kg −1 soil of talc based formulation of fungal and bacterial antagonists under green house conditions. Among the antagonists T.viride (Tv12), P. fluorescens (Pf12) and B. subtilis (Bs15) provided effective protection against Fusarium wilt in jasmine under green house conditions.
