Ninety diverse Indian bean genotypes were evaluated for the estimation of genetic variability, heritability, genetic advance, correlation coefficient and path analysis for ten quantitative characters. The genotypes differed significantly for all characters studied. Higher genotypic and phenotypic coefficients of variation were observed for all the characters except number of days to 50% flowering and number of seeds per pod. Higher heritability values were recorded in all the characters. High heritability coupled with high genetic advance was observed in all the characters indicating the importance of additive gene effect for expression of these characters. Character association indicated that branches per plant, green pods per plant, green pods per branch, green pod length, green pod weight and seeds per pod have significant positive correlation with green pod yield. Maximum direct effect on green pod yield was observed through green pod weight, green pods per branch, green pods per plant and branches per plant.
