Field experiment was carried out in Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, to determine the bioefficacy of some newer insecticides against aphids onchilli crop. All the treatments were found advanced over untreated controls in managing the aphids on chilli. Among all the treatments Fipronil 5% SC @ 50 a.i./ha. Revealed over other treatments after first, second and third spray aphids with a low population of 0.23, 0.57 and 0.33. Imidacloprid 17.8% SL @ 50a.i./ha. Second is the most effective against aphids followed by insecticides Fipronil 5% SC @ 40 a.i./ha, Fipronil 5% SC @ 30a.i./ha, 14.5% Indoxacarb SC @ 73 a.i./ha and Indoxacarb 14.5% SC @ 60 a.i./ha. Highest yield (607.3 kg/ha) was documented in the treatment of Fipronil 5% SC @ 50 g a.i./ha, Whereas lowest yield (386.0 kg/ha) was documented in untreated control.
