The present study's aim was to determine the feeding constraints faced by rural and periurban livestock farmers in Surat district of south Gujarat. Total 200 livestock household was carried out for study with a well structured pretested interview schedule. The results of the study clearly indicated that major constraintsfaced by rural and periurban farmers were high cost of feed, lack of knowledge about silage preparation, lack of knowledge about balanced ration, lack of knowledge about urea treatment of straw, non availability of fodder crop seeds and non availability of green fodder round the year. It can be minimize only by adopting scientific feeding practices by farmers. So feed of animals was minimum wastage and farmer's net profit may increase.
