Mungbean has the potential to make up the gap of protein shortage, but its yield per hectare in the country is still low and there is a need for improvement. Assessment of genetic diversity in available cultivars has important implications in understanding the progress made in any breeding programme. The present investigation consisted of 100-mungbean germplasm lines as experimental material for diversity studies carried out in Agricultural Research Station, Virinjipuram during khariff 2013 and khariff 2014. Using cluster analysis by UPGMA method all genotypes was grouped into 7 main groups and 6 minor groups. A dendrogram based on average linkage distance for 100-mungbean germplasm accessions was also calculated. Clusters I, II, V, VI, VIII and XII consisted of 1 genotype, cluster III, IV, IX and X consisted of 2 genotypes, cluster VII of 3 genotypes, cluster XI of 11 genotypes and cluster XIII of 72 genotypes.
