Effect of Various Forms of Urea and GA₃ on Vegetative Characters and Earliness of Chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat)

A pot experiment was conducted on chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat) to elucidate the effect of variousforms ofurea and GA₃ on vegetative characters and earliness. Among the various treatments, the plants suuplied with neemcake coated urea and sprayed with 100 ppm of GA₃ on 60, 90 and 120 DAP resulted in early induction of flowering (100 days). The result indicated that the plants grown with above mentioned treatment exhibited maxmimum plant height on 60 DAP (29.87), 90 DAP (41.87) and 120 DAP (45.27) and maximum number of laterals (11.67) on 120 DAP when compared with other treatments.
