Abstract

A pot experiment was conducted on chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat) to elucidate the effect of variousforms ofurea and GA3 on vegetative characters and earliness. Among the various treatments, the plants suuplied with neemcake coated urea and sprayed with 100 ppm of GA3 on 60, 90 and 120 DAP resulted in early induction of flowering (100 days). The result indicated that the plants grown with above mentioned treatment exhibited maxmimum plant height on 60 DAP (29.87), 90 DAP (41.87) and 120 DAP (45.27) and maximum number of laterals (11.67) on 120 DAP when compared with other treatments.
