Influence of Herbal Foliar Spray on Biochemical Constituents and Fruit Quality of Tomato cv. PKM-1

Field experiments were conducted to evaluate the influence of the combined action of four different commercial herbal foliar sprays (Surya, Fer, Progress and Vilba) on the fruit quality and biochemical constituents in the leaf of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill) cv. PKM-1. The study revealed that the foliar herbal sprays increased the chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, total chlorophyll, reducing sugar and total sugars contents in the leaves. The fruit quality attributes viz. titrable acidity, total sugars, ascorbic acid and lycopene contents were also enhanced on application of the foliar herbal spray.
