Abstract

The field experiment conducted on “Effect of Sulphur Levels on Availability of Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium and Sulphur at Critical Growth Stages of Soybean” during Kharif season 2012 at College of Agriculture, Kolhapur Farm. The field experiment was carried out in Randomized Block Design with Four replications comprising of five levels of sulphur (0, 20, 40, 60 and 80 kg S ha−1) application through elemental sulphur. The availability of nutrient N and S at critical growth stages with increase in the levels of sulphur and it was significantly highest in treatment T5(288.40 and 20.07 kg ha−1 respectively), at harvesting stage. The available P and K decreased with advancement of growth stages of soybean. The results indicated that application of sulphur @ 80 kg ha−1 significantly increased the availability of nutrient at highest level of sulphur application. The availability of nitrogen and sulphur increasing with increasing levels of sulphur throughout the growth stages. However, there is synergetic effect of nitrogen and sulphur.
