Dr. J. K. Maheshwari, in his book Flora of Delhi included a total of 531 species in 326 genera under 92 families. For the sake of convenience, J. K. Maheshwari followed Bentham and Hooker Classification forfamiies arrangement. As regatrds splitting of families, Maheshwari accepted Hutchinson classification (1926, 1934). In our study (2015), documentation of 604 species, distributed among 399 genera from 92 families of flowering plants. These taxa were listed with their updated nomenclature and taxonomic status as per ICBN following Bentham and Hooker Classification. As regatrds splitting of families, we accepted Angiosperm Phylogeny Group (APG, 2009) classification.
