Survey of Durg district was conducted to identify 5 alien weeds and the pattern of distribution of present weed flora. 12 blocks and 421 villages in Durg district were covered during 2008–10 in kharif and rabi seasons. In Durg district, Cynodon dactylon in vegetables and Cynodon dactylon in rice-fallow registered highest IVI during kharif and rabi seasons respectively. However, Alternanthera sessilis during Kharif and Rabi registered highest IVI in non-cropped area and Alternanthera sessilis during Kharif and Cynodon dactylon during Rabi registered highest IVI in garbage area.
