Abstract

An experiment was conducted during the rabi season of the year 2010–11 at Medicinal and Aromatic Plant Research Farm, A.A. U., Anand, Gujarat to evaluate seed yield, quality and economics of vernonia under different dates of sowing (D1-1st October, D2-15th October, D3-30th October and D4-15th November) and spacing (S1-Broadcasting, S2-30 cm between two row and S3-45 cm between two row). The higher seed yield (1978 kg ha−1) was obtained under date of sowing treatment D3 (1st October) with spacing S3(45 cm between row) and also get higher net realization worth Rs. 128700 ha−1 with BCR (1: 10.48).
