A field experiment was conducted at the Main Experiment Station Farm, Department of Horticulture, N.D. University of Agriculture and Technology Narendra Nagar, Kumarganj, Faizabad during the 2013–14 and 2014–15 in randomized block design with five replications to assess the performance of sixteen genotypes of Jatropha for sixteen quantitative characters. Genotypes grouped in five different clusters revealed the presence of considerable amount of genetic diversity in the materials with each other for different yield and yield contributing traits. According to results that was showed cluster II have maximum genotypes (6) followed by cluster I and V having 4 genotypes each. The enlarge intra cluster distance was found for cluster II (499.886) followed by cluster V (486.098). The maximum inter cluster distance was observed between cluster I and VI (2480.946) followed by cluster I and II (2441.462). The above results indicate that these genotypes have maximum genetic diversity and useful for developing a large number of segregants through crossing programme by using maximum diverse genotypes.
