Abstract

A field experiment was conducted at Agricultural Research Station (For irrigated crops) Anand Agricultural University Thasra, on loamy sand soil with a view to study the effect of drip system of irrigation and fertilizer levels on drilled fennel (Foeniculum vulgare Mill.) in Rabi seasons during 2010–11 to 2012–13. The results from the experimentationfor three years revealed thatpotential production and profit of drilled fennel variety Gujarat Fennel-2 can be secured by irrigating the crop through drip at 0.8 ADFPE (Alternate Day Fraction Pan Evaporation) in conjunction with nitrogen fertilizer @ 80% of recommended dose (72 kg N/ha) of which 25% N (18 kg N/ha) as basal and 75% N (54 kg N/ha) in five equal splits at 10 days interval starting from 30 DAS.
