Abstract

The present study was conducted in Southern region of Gujarat state. 20 villages were identified from two districts (10 from each) for the present study. Ex post facto research design was used and 200 sample size was drawn by using proportionate random sampling method. The data were collected by personal interview method. The findings of this study reported that majority of the respondents perceived identification of common pests and disease and its control, irrigation and fertilizer management of different crops and animal feeding management were the top most areas among other areas where training needed by farmers to become successful diversifier.
