The present study was conducted in Navsari and Dang districts of Southern region of Gujarat state. The findings of this study reported that out of all constraints reported by the respondents, lack of proper marketing channels at village level was considered as major constraint by the farmers and ranked first followed by lack of finance to start new enterprises got second rank, inadequate information regarding different enterprises ranked third among different constraints, while in case of suggestions, proper market facilities should be made available at village level, considered as most important suggestion and ranked first followed by easy institutional credit facility should be made available especially to small and marginal farmers got second rank, training should be organized for dissemination of information about agricultural diversification ranked third among different suggestions.
