A field experiment was carried out to study the reaction of 22 genotypes to onion thrips during kharif and rabi season of 2014–15. The results revealed that among 22 genotypes evaluated during kharif, Bellary Red, L-819 and Arka Kalyan were moderately resistant to thrips which recorded grade 2, whereas Anand-2 (4) and Agrifound Dark Red (3) were found susceptible (3). Whereas, during rabi, NHRDF Red3, Bellary Red, Bheema Red and Bheema Shubra were moderately resistant compared to L-819. Onion variety, Bellary Red recorded highest bulb yield of 56.78 t/ha and it was statistically superior over rest of the genotypes during kharif and it was followed by Pamankallur Local, Bheema Raj and L-744.
