Character Association Analysis for Seeds Yield and its Components in Linseed (Linum usitatissimum L.)

Abstract

In order to exploit the association analysis for seed yield and its components, the experiment was carried out with 50 diverse genotypes including important linseed varieties in three replications during rabi season 2011–12. The significant positive association of seed yield with number of capsules per plant, number of seeds per plant, 1000 seed weight and days to 50% flowering and also confirmed by the significant positive association on these characters with seed yield. The highest positive effects were observed for number of capsules per plant (6.145) followed by days to 50% flowering (2.722) on seed yield.
