The present study was conducted with a view to economics analysis of mustard production in Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh. Out of fourteen districts of Chhattisgarh plain zone, Kabirdham district was selected purposively. The district has four blocks, out of these; two blocks i.e. Kawardha and Lohara are were further selected for the study. Six numbers of villages from both the selected blocks and ten farmers from each of the selected village were taken in to consideration to collect the required information. Therefore, sixty farmers from each selected blocks were selected for the purpose. In all, 120 numbers of mustard growers were sampled for the study. The overall cost of cultivation of mustard was observed as Rs. 16617.50 per hectare. Average cost of production of mustard was worked out in Rs/q and found to be Rs. 1629.16 irrespective to the farm size. It reveals that irrespective to the farms size, the net income earned by farmers was Rs/ha.18579.49. The input-output ratio was found to be 1: 2.12 and benefit of Rs 1.12 in per rupee investment on mustard cultivation. The net income earned by farmers was found to be increasing with farm size of holding and ranging from Rs. 16177.83 to Rs. 18579.49 of marginal to large farm size of holdings. Under oilseed production, some of the constraints was noticed which are essential to understand the real practices performed for oilseeds cultivation in the study area. The elicitation of sample farmer's with regard to production of oilseeds was decreasing the yield of oilseeds due to cultivation of same crop since long period of time, which was reported by 88.33 per cent and lack of availability of fund in proper time (79.16 per cent).
