Survey of Post-harvest Fruit Rots of Citrus (Citrus aurantifolia Swingle) in different Markets of Anand, Gujarat

Abstract

The weekly survey was carried out from 1st week of June to 4th week of December, 2013 in Sardar Patel vegetable market, Goya talav market and Horticulture farm, Anand Agricultural University (A. A. U), Anand revealed that the highest incidence of Fusarium fruit rot was recorded to the tune of 5.3, 5.8 and 2.7 per cent at Sardar Patel vegetable market, Goya Talav market and Horticulture farm, A. A. U., Anand, respectively. The incidence of various rots (Bacterial canker, Fusarium sp., Aspergillus sp., Penicillium sp., Rhizopus sp., and other fruit rots) were found higher at Sardar Patel vegetable market and Goya Talav vegetable market, as compare to Horticultural Farm, A. A. U., Anand.
