An experiment was laid out to evaluate Trichogramma chilonis Ishii potential against Chilo infuscatellus Snellen in sugarcane at Pusa Farm, Sugarcane Research Institute, R.A.U., Pusa during cropping season of 2013–14. Extent of parasitization on shoot borer eggs by Trichogramma chilonis Ishii. was recorded at fortnightly interval and correlated with climatic factors during course of investigation. It reveals from the data that the parasitization peaks were noticed in the month of May which was varied from 12.3 to 15.6 per cent, thereafter declined trend was observed. The correlation analysis between parasitization and weather parameters, revealed that maximum temperature showed significant positive correlation whereas, relative humidity at 07 00 hrs and rainfall showed significant relation but statistically negative role. Thus it may be inferred from the data that the Trichogramma chilonis Ishii had played a effective role for the control of shoot borer in sugarcane.
