Dengue virus is the most significant arthropod-borne human pathogen, and an increasing number of cases have been reported over the last few decades. Dengue is caused via a mosquito bite (Aedesaegypti). Dengue fever (DF)/dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is the most common viral infections. Currently no vaccines are available against this virus and antiviral drugs are also not much effective. Phytochemicals are natural productsbelived to have significant anti-viral potential. Plant constituents having antiviral activity were taken from pubmed and other sources and 3D structures were drawn using chem Draw. These were docked with dengue NS5 to analyse if they can be used in drug designing against dengue. MOE (Molecular Operating Environment) was used to dock plant constituents with dengue NS5 protein which gave good results to predict that these can be used as drug against dengue. These phytochemicals depress the adverse effects of dengue whereas. When docked with phytochemicals the NS5 protein proved to be suppressor of dengue and the most targetable part of dengue virus for creating anti dengue drugs using these phytochemicals. Phytochemicals have showen significant vlunerablity against NS5 protein which is responsible for viral replication. These phytochemicals can be used as potential drug against this outrageous disease.
