Abstract

Dhamtari district was surveyed to know the present weed flora and invasion of any re-surging or alien weed species in the region. 4 blocks and 151 villages during kharif and 4 blocks and 165 villages during rabi seasons were covered in 3 years during 2008–2010 in Dhamtari district. Cropped area wassurveyed in each village. Cynodon dactylon in rice during kharif and Cyperus difformis in rice during rabi seasons were registered highest Importance Value Index (IVI) and other ecological parameters.
