The study was conducted in Mandya district of Karnataka, during the year 2012–2013 to findout the association between socio-economic and psychological characteristics of farmers with effectiveness of FLD. Data was collected from 120 FLD farmers using a pre-structured interview schedule. It was found that farmer's mass media exposure, innovativeness, cosmopoliteness and cropping pattern had positive and significant relationship with effectiveness index at one per cent level of significance where as land holding, extension participation, social participation and management orientation had positive and significant relationship with effectiveness index at five per cent level.
