Abstract

Koriya district was surveyed to know the present weed flora and invasion of any re-surging or alien weed species in the region. 4 blocks and 150 villages during kharif and 6 blocks and 149 villages during rabi seasons were covered in 2 years during 2009–2010 in Koriya district. Cropped area was surveyed in each village. Cynodon dactylon in Chilly during kharif and Argimone maxicana in wheat during rabi seasons were registered highest Importance Value Index (IVI) and other ecological parameters.
